Chris Holder (PJR GM) reclaimed the Australian Championship that he lost to Leigh Adams 12 months ago on Saturday January 9th at the Newcastle Showground, as series leader Troy Batchelor missed out on the A final he needed. By finishing 5th in the meeting, beaten by Holder's 2010 Castle Cover Pirate teammate Darcy Ward, Batchelor had to watch Holder, Cameron Woodward, Rory Schlein (PJR GM) and Ward contest the final race of a meeting that endured a lengthy delay due to track conditions.
Batchelor needed to place his faith in any of the three Holder rivals if he was to be crowned champion but Holder took the victory to seal the title by a single point.

Chris Holder, PJR GM, added to his portfolio of achievements by winning the Australian U21 championship which means he has bagged both the senior and junior titles this winter.
Holder was beaten just the once on the day, when Robert Ksiesak headed him home in heat 17. But when the two met again in the final it was Holder's revenge that came to the fore, Tyron Proctor splitting the pair after Troy Batchelor had fallen first time of asking to dash his hopes of the title, having previously survived a 12 point run-off against Aaron Summers to complete the line up.
Result: 1. Holder 14+3, 2.Tyron Proctor 13+2, 3. Ksiesak 13+1, 4. Batchelor 12+X, 5. Summers 12, 6. Sedgeman 10, 7. Hedley 9, 8. Masters 7, 9.Grajczonek 5, 10. Smith 5, 11. Skidmore 5, 12. Anderson 4, 13. Dakota 4, 14.Dore 2, 15. Wallace 2, 16.Cathcart 2, 16. Res Evans 1,Toby Proctor 0

Congratulations to Chris Holder on his unbeaten performance in all 5 rounds to clinch his first Aussie title, riding PJR supplied & prepared GM engines.

Quite sensationally Chris Holder claimed the Linndales Labour Hire Australian Solo Championship with his fifth straight win of the series to make it a maximum 100 points, but left the very best to the end with an absolutely superb overtake of Troy Batchelor in the heart-racing final in Sydney.
Batchelor, unbeaten in the heats had the early advantage over Holder in the final but 'Noddy' was determined to make it a full house and somehow managed to find the drive, use the track to its full and found the narrowest of gaps to make the telling pass and then put clear daylight between himself and Batchelor.
Holder was 'absolutely made up' with the result that as well has bringing him his first senior National championship has put him on the GP qulaification road along with Batchelor and Cameron Woodward.
